Why I started Halafi

I’m Jesse, a teacher and coach who’s obsessed with personal finance and giving. I started Halafi after helping my own family get set up with tools like Daffy and realizing how many Muslim families want to give and invest in a way that’s organized, values-aligned, and tax-smart — but don’t have anyone to guide them through it.

Halafi is a personalized guidance service where I help you clarify your goals, choose the right tools, and build a simple money and family giving plan you can actually follow in a sharia-conscious way.

Who I help

  • Muslim parents who want to be more intentional with family giving and their kids’ long-term savings.

  • Busy professionals who want to give consistently and invest in a sharia-conscious way but don’t have time to research everything.

  • Retired couples who want to organize charitable giving and their investments in a way that feels halal and tax-aware.

What I do (and I what I don’t do)

I don’t manage your money, pick hot stocks, or day-trade your accounts. I’m not acting as your investment advisor, CPA, or attorney.

What I do is coach you through three things:

  • Seeing the full picture of your money and your giving in one place

  • Filtering it through a sharia-conscious lens so you know what lines up with your values and what doesn’t

  • Building a simple, realistic plan you can mostly set on autopilot and review once or twice a year

Disclaimer: Halafi provides educational information and coaching to help Muslim families organize their finances and charitable giving in a sharia-conscious way. Halafi does not provide individualized investment, tax, or legal advice, and does not manage or trade investment accounts. Before making specific investment or tax decisions, you should consult with a licensed financial advisor, tax professional, or attorney.
